Did you really expect the voters to choose someone who has not yet played a league game for preseason honors?
She may be the end-of-season selection, but not now.
    You are welcome?
    No, only making an observation.
I certainly hope so, I have no issue now with Selander though I might have picked Vandyk.

I think that's a unanimous pick since it seems that there's a no-voting for your own team rule in the ECAC (hence, Matt was the only one to put Colgate first).

I can't figure out the points system 11 first place votes and a second 9 assuming Matt put Tech second yields 121 points and Brown ends up with 11 Assuming all 12 coaches vote that alone would give Brown 12 if all coaches voted them last. Anybody care to help explain the system ? Thanks

The fact Brown got 11 votes is what I based my coaches don't vote for their own team guess off of. As for how the points work going up, I have no clue. Clarkson got 11 first place votes for 121 points, which would mean a team gets 11 points for a first place vote, but then there would have to be spots getting the same number of points or fractions of points since there are only 11 units between 1 and 11.

Add up the points in the poll, you get a total of 792 points, divide by 12 teams, you get 66 points per team, add the numbers 1 thru 11, you get 66. That means each coach ranks the other teams first (worth 11 points) thru last (worth 1 point) leaving his/her own team out.

Can't believe I missed that a coach only has 11 teams to rank if they don't vote for their own team. Good catch.

Simple Logic and Mathematics solves that one.

Slight boo boo on my part. That explains the point totals, but I'm still confused how Clarkson got 11 1st place votes and Colgate got 1 (total of 12). Maybe all 12 coaches place all teams (including their own) 1 thru 12, but your own team doesn't earn any points in the placement.

All 12 coaches rank the 11 teams that are not their own. All 11 coaches not named Matt Desrosiers picked Clarkson. Matt, who didn't rank Clarkson, had Colgate at the top of his 11.

                        Simple logic once again.

Clarkson got 11 first place votes. If 1st place is worth 12 points then 11 times 12 equals 132 If 1st place is worth only 11 points then 121 points for Tech works Then 12th place should be worth 0 points I'm still confused.

Each coach only ranks 11 teams (since they don't rank their own). Therefore, 1st is worth 11 not 12. Going from there, 2nd is 10, 3rd is 9, all the way down to 11th, which is worth 1.

Additionally, each team only receives 11 rankings since the 11 coachs of the other teams rank them while their coach does not.
