USA 2 Finland 1 Shootout win. Finland won the game in overtime but was denied the goal on a review that according to those on USCHO should not have been reviewed.

A disappointing tournament for team Canada, but I have a feeling that Loren Gabel is about to become a household name for women's hockey fans. This is easily the most production Clarkson alums have had at any women's international tournament. I wonder how much of that is that there were a lot of them and how much was having coach Desrosiers on the staff (I do realize that the latter might have also influenced the former).

Despite goals by Jamie Lee Rattray and Loren Gabel, Finland 4 Canada 2.

USA beats Russia 8-0 so it is USA vs Finland for the gold and Canada vs Russia for the Bronze.

    GO USA and for Canada.

Watch the highlites from the IIHF site: https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2019/ww/schedule Click on the left side of the Canada/Finland scoreboard.

Gabels 2nd goal was a classic bullet wrist shot into the upper far corner of the net and Gabel's perfect feed to Brianna Jenner on Canada's 4th goal had the announcer stating
"Gable back to Jenner, OH what a feed she (Jenner) scores. HOW ABOUT THIS!! How good is this kid, no wonder she won the Kaz" .

    Czech 2 Germany 0
    Michaela Pejzlova 0G/0A

Next game is Canada vs USA on Saturday.
My friend from high school, who I went with to the first Northeastern game in Boston last year, messaged me last night to let me know he saw this result.

He's not a women. HC apparantly wants a female head coach.
